As part of the French group RÊVE DE VÉLO, France Bike Rentals (FBR) is the market leader in renting premium sports bikes. Driven by a passion for cycling, we aim to provide everyone with their best cycling experience – by cyclists for cyclists.

France Bike Rentals (FBR) is a French company that has been part of the RÊVE DE VÉLO group since 2024. FBR’s activities enhance the group’s expertise, which, through its subsidiary OK ÇA ROULE, is focused on professional clients. The merger has led to the creation of a new entity: France Bike Rentals & Services, with a dual leadership role.

  • In the high-quality bike rental market, it has a fleet of more than 1200 bikes, exclusively from major brands, conventional bikes, or e-bikes, suitable for all types of rides.
  • In the tourism and events market, it offers professionals a unique platform for bicycle services for organizing stays and seminars: design, animation and support, hospitality and transfers, logistics.

In addition to its base in the Montpellier area, the RÊVE DE VÉLO group now has a logistical and operational base in the Vaucluse department for its tourism-related activities, benefiting from an exceptional location.

Alongside the bike rental and service platform, the group owns the RÊVE DE VÉLO Bike Shops, including the shop in Bédoin, the RÊVE DE VÉLO Events agency for VIP experiences, as well as two travel agencies specializing in cycling trips: RÊVE DE VÉLO Travel for French and European clients and Discover France for clients from further afield.

The Montpellier-based group RÊVE DE VÉLO acquires FBR and the La Route du Ventoux shop in Bédoin from Jean-Michel Hurter. This expansion broadens their current field of activity, making them the number one in France for renting high-quality bicycles to sports event organizers and travel professionals.

FBR becomes a partner of IRONMAN Europe as Official Bike Rental Partner.

Musette SA, a company based in Switzerland, buys Jean Bouchard’s shares and joins the board of SDG and FBR with Jean-Michel Hurter.

Jean Bouchard decides to retire.

FBR signs its first partnership agreement with a major event organization and becomes the official bike rental provider for all European Haute Route events.

SDG and Michelle Gahagan, a lawyer friend from Canada, join forces to found France Bike Rentals SAS, a company dedicated entirely to bike rentals.

Paul Erickson retires, Jean-Michel Hurter takes over the management of the website.

Through his visit to the bike shop, a friendship developed with Paul Erickson, a Canadian cyclist. He has some good ideas for promoting the bike rental service and develops the first version of the France Bike Rentals website.

Jean Bouchard and Jean-Michel Hurter found Sarl Du Géant (SDG), which owns La Route Du Ventoux bike shop in Bédoin.
