Which bike to choose?

At FBR, you will find a bike perfectly suited to your needs and your cyclist profile. Our rental fleet includes more than 1200 bikes, including mountain bikes, road bikes, gravel bikes, triathlon bikes, and bikes with or without electric assistance.

Have you decided to focus entirely on cycling or, in the case of a cycling event, on competition and leave the rest to us, the bike rental specialists? A good decision! You don’t need to travel with your bike, which eliminates transportation costs and risks, and you benefit from a high-end bike, maintained and adjusted for you.

When renting a bike, the main concerns are not feeling perfectly comfortable on an unfamiliar machine and ending up with an underperforming model. With France Bike Rentals, these apprehensions are quickly forgotten: only high-end and latest generation bikes are offered, and all parameters can be customized.

Here are some tips for making your choice:

Competition

Are you looking for a bike for a specific cycling event?
France Bike Rentals (FBR) has been a partner of IRONMAN Europe events and the Haute Route series for many years. Here you will find our complete overview of events.

What is the profile of the course?
The advantage of a rental bike: you can choose it based on the event. If the course is mostly flat, we recommend an aerodynamic bike, such as the Lapierre Aircode DRS 7. For hilly races, the Pinarello Dogma F10 is a good choice. And for mountain races, like the Alpe d’Huez triathlon, a lightweight and less rigid bike such as the Pinarello Dogma F12 or the Lapierre Xelius SL 7.0 is best suited.

Participating in a triathlon?
What matters is what you already know and are accustomed to, so you can start with confidence. Are you already an experienced triathlete looking for a time trial bike? Then we can recommend the Trek Speed Concept or the Lapierre Aerostorm DRS. It is also possible to book a fast bike like the Pinarello Dogma and add triathlon extensions (Tri-bars). Check out all our triathlon bikes.

What components should you bring yourself?
You will need to bring your shoes, your bike computer, and preferably your pedals and helmet, although they can also be rented.
